Wednesday, May 12, 2020 members of the BFWSS Board of Directors met via Zoom with representatives of Interfor to discuss submitting comments for the review of Tree Farm Licence #8 in the Boundary watershed.
Interfor made a short presentation about the Timber Supply Review Process and then answered questions regarding the TFL#8 information package they provided to us. There was also some discussion around other forestry issues. There was an agreement to have a future meeting on other forestry topics including operational matters.
BFWSS will be putting together a submission (by June 7) and sending it to Interfor who will then respond.
Present at the meeting were BFWSS Board Members, Roy Schiesser, Ray Hanson, Wayne Tblus, and Jennifer Houghton. Also present were Interfor reps Debbie Bhattacharya, Randy Waterous, Chris Shelley, and Rob Kennett of Foresite. Also, in attendance was Fred Marshall, Professional Forester.
