Influencer Marketing Coordinator – remote

We are seeking a talented and experienced part-time freelancer to join our team and manage the recruitment and coordination of social media influencers for our fundraising and environmental campaign. You’ll connect with social media influencers to promote our environmental project through influencer campaigns. This role is great for someone in Canada (especially BC) who loves building connections and enjoys working independently and energetically with others.     


Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage with influencers (bloggers, vloggers, influencers, youtubers, podcasters) who resonate with our values and target audience.  Specifically, environmentally-minded, nature-loving, purpose driven content creators who are interested in volunteering to help our cause.
  • Negotiate with influencers to donate to our cause by volunteering their time to produce content in support of our cause.
  • Communicate, negotiate, and maintain rapport with influencers to ensure effective collaboration, with minimal supervision.
  • Provide influencers with content planning support and feedback.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager with minimal oversight to ensure influencer campaigns align with overall marketing and fundraising strategy
  • Develop and execute influencer marketing/fundraising strategies that align with our goals.
  • Monitor and report on influencer campaign performance.

Requirements

  • Native fluency in English. (High priority)
  • 1+ year of experience in influencer marketing or a similar role.
  • Familiar with multiple social media platforms, and their best practices
  • Strong understanding of influencer marketing strategies and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Enjoys interacting with people and finds them interesting.
  • Able to provide insights for campaign optimization.
  • Creative thinker with a knack for generating innovative marketing ideas and campaigns.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills

This is a part-time, contract position for 3-4 months.

$2500 Cdn total fee (Fixed-price)  This may be more like an honorarium for some.  The benefit here is this is an opportunity to supplement your CV with non-profit work and you’re doing good by helping forests and communities.

Virtual Assistant – remote

We’re a non-profit grassroots group dedicated to saving forests in BC so that nature and communities have a future.  We are undertaking a vital campaign to protect forests by law. 

We are seeking a talented and experienced part-time freelancer to join our team as Virtual Assistant.  Working with the Project Manager, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be a native English speaker, and have experience in supporting business projects. This role requires a proactive and organized individual who can effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.

You must have a can-do attitude with experience in getting things done.

Responsibilities:

  • Email and phone communication
  • Organizing digital files on Google drive
  • Calendar management
  • Appointment booking
  • Invoicing & expenses
  • Social media updates
  • Online research
  • Travel coordination
  • Video transcription
  • Designing graphics and other materials in Canva
  • Zoom Meeting Coordination
  • Liaising with venues & contractors
  • Document/handout preparation, formatting & proofreading
  • Website updates (WordPress)
  • Online research

Software Programs:

  • High proficiency in Excel, Word
  • Canva
  • Zoom
  • Google Drive, Google sheets
  • Social media platforms

Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet goals
  • Problem-solving approach and reliability, initiative or high quality work.
  • Technically savvy
  • Minimum of 2 years as a virtual administrative assistant
  • Must have reliable high-speed internet connection, computer hardware and software, reliable phone
  • Must be a BC resident
  • Candidates will be asked to provide 2 references
  • Hired contractors are required to have their own equipment, professional liability insurance, and Worksafe BC account
  • Experience working with non-profit organizations is an asset

Project duration:  June 1 – August 31

This is a contract position. Applicants are required to have their own company to pay their own taxes and do their own deductions.
