New Forest Act Roadshow 2026

From June 2–22, 2026, BFWSS took the New Forest Act to communities across British Columbia through public presentations and moderated questions. Jennifer Houghton presented the proposal, with Dave Weaver joining at several Vancouver Island stops and Herb Hammond in Nelson.

Roadshow stops

Golden · Nelson · Trail · Penticton · 100 Mile House · Campbell River · Quadra Island · Courtenay · Port Alberni · Honeymoon Bay · Powell River · Victoria.

The presentations explained why BC’s forestry system needed legislative change and introduced the New Forest Act’s Protect–Restore–Harvest framework. Local hosts organized the stops. The archived roadshow information page records dates, hosts, presenters, and individual event pages; its registration and donation details are historical.
