Volunteer Opportunity: Campaign Operations Support for the New Forest Act

The New Forest Act campaign has grown significantly over the past year.

What began as a small local effort has expanded into a province-wide initiative that includes research, policy development, video communication, public presentations, and meetings with government officials. We are also preparing for the 2026 New Forest Act Roadshow, which will bring the conversation about forestry reform directly to communities across British Columbia.

As the work grows, so do the operational demands behind the scenes.

To keep the campaign running smoothly, we are looking for a volunteer who can help with project organization and operations support between March and June 2026.

This role is not about forestry policy or activism. Instead, it focuses on helping create simple systems that allow the campaign to operate more efficiently.

Examples of the work may include:

• Creating a master project tracker to organize ongoing campaign activities
• Setting up a system to track donors and follow-ups
• Helping organize timelines for campaign initiatives launching this spring
• Assisting with logistical planning for presentations and outreach
• Bringing structure and clarity to multiple ongoing projects

The goal is straightforward: build a few practical systems that allow the campaign to run more smoothly while we focus on research, communication, and public engagement.

You do not need forestry expertise to help in this role.

Skills that would be particularly helpful include:

• strong organizational ability
• comfort working with spreadsheets or project tracking tools
• ability to structure timelines and workflows
• reliability and clear communication

The time commitment is flexible, but ideally 3–6 hours per week during the spring months. The role is fully remote.

Much of the success of public-interest work depends on the behind-the-scenes organization that keeps everything moving. Someone with a practical operations mindset can make an enormous difference.

If you are interested in helping, please send a short note about your background and availability to:
